Beaches in PEI
From the Links to the Beach

Nothing accompanies a gratifying day on the golf course like a lazy late afternoon picnic at the beach. Being an island, PEI is surrounded by beautiful white and red sand beaches.Spectacular sunsets make it a photographer’s paradise while the warm waters accompanying the beach make for great swimming, and family fun.
The waters in the Gulf of St. Lawrence reach up to around 21 degrees Celsius (70 degree Farenheit) in the summer, making them perfect for a quick dip or fun water sports such as kitesurfing and kayaking. Dig your toes into the soft white sand and relax with a novel, work on your tan or simply watch as the world goes by. The size of PEI makes it easy to find a beach from any golf course destination on the island.
Some highlights you will be interested in checking out include the Singing Sands at Basin Head Beach, where the quartz sand will call out its siren’s song as you walk across it. Head north to Prince Edward Island National Park and lay along the lazy shoreline, or camp at Jacques Cartier Provincial Park. Mill River is also a great beach (and near an excellent golf course!), and you’ll love the red and pink sands of Red Point or Tea Hill.
Beachcomb, bird watch or just lay out on a beach towel on the sand. A day of activity definitely deserves an evening on the beach.
