PEI Attractions off the Course
When you’re not busy putting around the green, why not take in an attraction or two! There are many great things to see around PEI and no matter where you’re golfing there will be something interesting to visit not far off.
If you love theatre be sure to visit the Confederation Centre of the Arts for upcoming events such as the Charlottetown Festival, held throughout the summer. PEI has welcomed famed acts like Bryan Adams and Willie Nelson but the real entertainment comes from local bands and performers. Pick up a copy of The Buzz, a local arts and culture publication that will provide you with all the best events to attend and artists to check out while you’re here.
PEI is surrounded by beautiful beaches. Visit our beaches page to pinpoint the best ones. The dunes and long white beaches of the National Park are perfect for strolling, or visit Basin Head and the singing sands. With more than 800 km (500 mi.) of shoreline to inspect you always have a new corner to explore.
Take a drive over to Green Gables in Prince Edward Island National Park to learn about LM Montgomery and her bestselling novel Anne of Green Gables. Beachcomb at any of the lovely white sand beaches or even go swimming. Be sure to visit Avonlea Village and the Anne of Green Gables Museum at Silver Bush if you’re in the Green Gables Shore Area. Prince Edward Island National Park is also a great place to hike, and visit some of the province’s most beautiful beaches.
If you’re looking for something fun for the whole family visit the Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Museum to see ancient artefacts and all things strange and wonderful. Race around in a go kart at the Burlington Amusement Park, or see the wonder of the windmills at North Cape.
